COMP

Hi There!!
You can see the gas heater in
the photos, keeps conditions primo in the cold blue mountains winter.
Woodie
located just outside Blackheath in a purpose built garage...well,
I call it
that but the cars will NEVER feel it's protection!! We live on a big
property and have no neighbours, so the woodie is OPEN ALL HOURS.
All in all the woodie comprises 20 panels, has a 45' wall, 30' wall
60' wall
with 15' headboard, 2 overhung aretes that change in degree of overhang
,and
a 15' overhang section to tie it all in. Built by myself with help
from
Hooky and his apprentice.
The systems board is from Phil Sage. I inherited
it as he has no room at
home for it. Campus Board built by two crazy young Poms, Jeff Landman
and
Tom, who left it with me and the stereo speakers are rippers and home
built
by Kyle Dunsire- his partner simply hated their size!!
There's 2000 t-nuts and so far about 500 holds.
A mix of metolius,
franklin, uncarved block, big red and juggler, plus a few more that
I've won
in comps over the years. All new, top quality holds that I've been
collecting for years in preparation. I've basically built my dream
woodie.
It's 3 months old now and climbs beautifully. Plenty of the local
crew are
coming over for sessions, it accomodates 8 or 9 people at once no
problems.
All I need to finish it off is more holds, of course, and to plumb
a coffee
machine direct into the 60,000L water tank so we can have non-stop
brews!!
Cheers, Adrian Laing
